On Thursday, March 3, 2005 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.:

The Scalia-Breyer Debate:
The Relevance of Foreign Law for American Constitutional Adjudication

Video Presentation:
Hon. Antonin Scalia
Associate Justice, U.S. Supreme Court
Hon. Stephen Breyer
Associate Justice, U.S. Supreme Court

On January 13, 2005, Justices Scalia and Breyer engaged one another in a historic public debate at American University's Washington College of Law. The Justices addressed such topics as using foreign court precedent in deciding U.S. constitutional cases, and whether the U.S. should take into account shifting world standards on social and moral issues such as the death penalty.

With the kind permission of C-SPAN, we present the video of this historic debate, followed by live discussion of the issues presented. The discussion will be moderated by Judd A. Serotta of Blank Rome LLP, and Stewart M. Wiener of Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP.

This program is approved in Pennsylvania for two (2) hours of substantive CLE credit.
